Powerade Mexico
At KTBO, a digital marketing agency, I had an opportunity to work as a project manager for Coca-Cola brands in Mexico, such as Sprite and Powerade. As a project manager, one of the biggest challenges I faced was to lead a social media strategy for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil for Powerade. More specifically, my team needed to come up with a creative way to communicate that Powerade was the official beverage as well as one of the top sponsors of the tournament. We decided to use Powerade’s social media accounts to offer special news coverage of the World Cup, with real-time updates and exclusive photos and videos of every match . We partnered with Getty Images who provided exclusive images of the matches, including those of the Mexican national team. This gave us extraordinary content to interact and engage with our followers in an engaging way. As a result, our reach, interactions and follower count grew tremendously during the course of the World Cup. By the end of the World Cup, our team surpassed all key performance indicators, and Coca-Cola’s global marketing team used our social media strategy as a successful case study.

Jeep Mexico
At Mullen Lowe Mexico part of the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG), I was part of the team that developed the social media strategy and the social media listening to find out local relevant personal stories that could be part of the global campaign #MyJeepStory. We discover Darío Ordoñez a Jeep lover that, even he is blind, he can drive a Jeep.

About Me
I'm a Toronto-based digital designer and experienced digital marketing and social media strategist. I began my career as a lead editor for a local film magazine, shortly after graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Communication Science at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Queretaro Campus. In 2010, I worked as the chief editor of a local newspaper in Mexico City.
From my professional experience, I realized that the publishing industry was quickly moving towards digital media. This gave me further encouragement to pursue my passion for media and I began to work at digital marketing agencies.
I'm interested in developing new ways of representing data on the web using APIs that's why I have a developed a group of trends websites that present real-time data:
